Tinymesh Wireless Solution
Tinymesh technology is designed to enable high performance in smart sensors and industrial IoT.
As of today, more than 2 million products are using this technology developed by wireless experts, and many of these products operate in really demanding conditions.
The monitoring solutions that Tekon Electronics develops, such as the wireless transmitter PLUS TWP-4AI4DI1UT, are based on the Tinymesh™ radio frequency (RF) module from Radiocrafts. This compact and efficient RF communication module refers to a wireless mesh networking solution for various applications, including Internet of Things (IoT).
The Tinymesh™ typically involves the use of wireless modules that support mesh networking, allowing devices to communicate with each other in a networked fashion, enabling decentralized and efficient communication.
In this image, we can see an example of a connected mesh network, where each node is connected to every other node in the network.
Mesh networks are also characterized by each node (device) being capable of relaying data, creating a self-healing and resilient network structure. The self-healing capability allows the network to dynamically reroute communication through alternative paths if one node fails or becomes unreachable.
Moreover, mesh networks are inherently scalable, that is, additional devices can be easily added to the network without significant reconfiguration.
RF modules main features
The Tinymesh™ RF modules are compact and feature a fully embedded Tinymesh™ application and multi-hop mesh protocol stack with automatic network forming and self-healing features. The main features of this module are:

- Bi-directional, with acknowledge and retransmissions.

The Tinymesh™ network is self-forming, created by starting gateway units that invite end devices (wireless transmitters) within a RF range to join in the network. The transmitter joins the network after verifying the invitation. Within seconds of powering up the Gateway, a large network may be created automatically.
Devices in the network continuously evaluate alternate connections by comparing the hop level and signal strength of received packets. Thus, the Tinymesh™ network must have at least one gateway to initiate the network formation, and to keep the network alive.
The Tinymesh™ stack also supports implementation with multiple gateways, where additional gateway devices provide redundancy and data traffic load sharing. The end devices (wireless transmitter) will normally be in low power sleep mode for battery saving.
